Two Prizes awarded to LCE members

The University of Oslo has awarded the UiO's Young Researchers Award to Karin Kukkonen, and Francisco Pons has received the Lev Vygotsky prize from the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations (EFPA).

The newly founded UiO prize for young scientists, the UiO's Young Researchers Award, has this year been awarded to Karin Kukkonen, Professor in Comparative Literature. The committee highlights Kukkonen’s interdisciplinary network-building with LCE, work in several international research projects and groups, as well as ground-breaking publications.

The Lev Vygotsky prize for 2019, awarded by EFPA, has been given to Francisco Pons, Professor in Psychology at the University of Oslo and member of LCE. He has been awarded the prize for his expertise in the development of emotional competence and for his work on integrating developmental research and educational training in schools. The committee also highlights Pons’ co-authorship of the Test of Emotion Comprehension (TEC).
