Karin Kukkonen gives keynote at Cognitive Futures Conference

Kukkonen's talk "Creativity and Contingency: A 4/5 E Perspective"is featured as a keynote at the 10th Cognitive Futures in the Arts and Humanities Conference in Catania in June.

The interdisciplinary research network "Cognitive Futures in the Arts and Humanities" started its conference series ten years ago in Bangor, UK. The conference in 2024 celebrates the ten-year anniversary in Catania with the headline "From 4E to 5E Cognition: about Emotions". 

Karin Kukkonen has been invited to participate as one of the keynote speakers, next to speakers such as Vittorio Galese and Giovanna Colombetti. Her talk "Creativity and Contingency: A 4/5 E Perspective" will explore the dynamics between contingency and the practices of novelists in literary writing, drawing on her LCE project Creativity and Contingency in Literary Writing
