The interdisciplinary research network "Cognitive Futures in the Arts and Humanities" started its conference series ten years ago in Bangor, UK. The conference in 2024 celebrates the ten-year anniversary in Catania with the headline "From 4E to 5E Cognition: about Emotions".
Karin Kukkonen has been invited to participate as one of the keynote speakers, next to speakers such as Vittorio Galese and Giovanna Colombetti. Her talk "Creativity and Contingency: A 4/5 E Perspective" will explore the dynamics between contingency and the practices of novelists in literary writing, drawing on her LCE project Creativity and Contingency in Literary Writing.
