About ACTA

ACTA’s Editorial Team consists of the Institute's Director, Head of Administration and Chief Librarian. Issues are usually thematic, and for each issue a prominent scholar is invited to serve as guest- or co-editor. The Editorial Team is happy to receive suggestions for the theme of future issues.

ACTA is peer-reviewed. It was first published in 1962, and has published both monographs and collected volumes at irregular intervals. In 2004, it became a journal, and is published annually.

From the start, ACTA has been an internationally oriented publication, with articles in English and Italian. Contributions are of high academic standards, presenting original research on empirical, methodological, theoretical and interpretative questions relevant to the archaeology, art history and historical cultures of the Mediterranean region and beyond.

As of 2009 ACTA is printed and distributed by Scienze e Lettere S.r.l. (scienzeelettere.it)  and publishing house editor Helga Di Giuseppe, email: helgadigiuseppe@scienzeelettere.com

Previous volumes may be purchased through Scienze e Lettere, email: ordini@scienzeelettere.com or downloaded from FRITT- UIO Universitetsbiblioteket.
