The upcoming AIAC seminar will be moderated by postdoctoral fellow Irene Selsvold (The Norwegian Institute in Rome) and will feature contributions from:

  • Matteo Cattaneo (Sapienza Università di Roma): Costruire il paesaggio urbano: architetture pubbliche e committenze nell'Etruria romana (Italian)

  • Walter Raganelli (Sapienza Università di Roma): A new way of experiencing the late antique Roman Forum: urban privatization and its expressions (English)

The International Association for Classical Archaeology (Associazione Internazionale di Archeologia Classica - AIAC) is a center of international collaboration for scholars of classical archaeology, founded in Rome in 1945.

AIAC hosts monthly seminars devoted to specific archaeological themes, where archaeologists from Italian universities and foreign academies present their work. These meetings give participants the chance to get to know one another, test their ideas, and build a network of young archaeologists.

The seminar is open to the public and we kindly request participants to register online in advance.

The seminar will be followed by refreshments and possibilities to continue discussions at the terrace.
