The festival was officially opened on Monday, 27 October.
A feminist perspective
On Friday 7 November, the Norwegian Institute in Rome will host the presentation of the book Livia’s Room – Researching, Reflecting, Staging. The event will be held in English.
The book is the result of a long-term collaboration between academics and artists, exploring how history can be retold and reinterpreted across disciplines. With the Roman era as its backdrop, Livia’s Room re-examines how powerful women such as Livia, the wife of Emperor Augustus, have been portrayed – from a feminist perspective.
