Unione Internazionale degli Istituti di Archeologia, Storia e Storia dell'Arte (Unione) currently consists of 34 Italian and foreign research institutes in archaeology, history and art history from 19 different countries.
Founded immediately after the Second World War, Unione has since been an important symbol of international collaboration in the humanities. Today, both in terms of the number and the quality of its member institutes, it is regarded as an important and renowned actor in Rome in the fields of historical and archaeological studies.
Unione’s aim is to provide its members with a common forum for discussion and reflection on issues of broad interest, and to serve as an instrument for promoting and advancing joint projects and goals they consider important.
