What tasks did you perform during your internship?

– Although the tasks I carried out during my time at the Embassy were extremely varied, my role primarily focused on assisting the Embassy in organizing public and private events.  These included co-organizing an academic panel with PRIO featuring scholars from the Balkan region, assisting with the organization of the 13th anniversary of Kosovo’s national Independence Day and helping facilitate the participation of Kosovar women entrepreneurs in the 2025 HER Conference & Awards. I was also responsible for writing daily media scans of Norwegian and International news to keep the Embassy informed of the latest geopolitical developments. Additionally, I attended events hosted by other embassies and public organizations, for which I prepared detailed reports.

How did you use skills you have acquired from your education at the Faculty of Humanities?

– Before beginning my internship, I completed the KFL4065 – Gender, Peace and Conflict course, which offered me a solid introduction to approaching international relations from a feminist perspective. The course was especially helpful in showing how feminist insights can be meaningfully applied within the diplomatic field.

What do you think is or was the greatest benefit from your internship?

– What I enjoyed most about the internship was the opportunity to build a network with professionals from diverse backgrounds. I also found it particularly interesting to see how feminist perspectives could be integrated into the practice of diplomacy.

Anything else you would like to add?

– I would strongly encourage fellow students to partake in the internship course, as it offers a valuable opportunity to apply academic knowledge in real-world settings while exploring roles that align with both your educational background and career goals.
