Academic interests
My project investigates how novels by Georges Perec, Lydie Salvayre and Kamel Daoud explore memories of past events, both individual and collective. Drawing on second-generation cognitive science and memory studies, I explore how these writers extend their memory processes through their novels, and how such extended remembering brings new meaning and content into their reenactments of the past.
