At the workshop, each PhD students will have 20 minutes to present his/her project. The presentations will be followed by comments from professors and other PhD students, and a general discussion in plenum. All students are expected to read all project descriptions before the workshop. We will also assign students to prepare short comments on specific projects of others.
In preparation of the workshop, PhD students are expected to send in a short summary of their project (max. 7 pages) by 15. March 2026. For their presentations, students may use a PowerPoint presentation which they may also circulate among the participants. The main goal is that student present their projects as they are at the time of the workshop. However, we invite students to specifically reflect on the following points in their presentations:
- Do you have a well-defined research question?
- What is the scope of your project? Especially, what are questions that you will not address?
- What is your general theoretical approach?
- What is your method?
- Are there specific questions that you would like to receive feedback on?
