Why do you wish to become HF's next dean?
– HF stands at a crossroads. The world out there is marked by totalitarian and anti-democratic forces, and the denial of knowledge is spreading. At the same time, here at home we are dealing with a strained economy owing to a funding model that rewards almost nothing but completed student credits. There is also a great deal of uncertainty for our early-career researchers, and many researchers and administrative staff want better working conditions and development opportunities. My team and I will work to find solutions for how we should organize ourselves for the future. But the Humanities Faculty (HF) of the future can only be created together, and it is this collaboration on the road ahead that motivates me to stand for Dean at the Faculty of Humanities.
