Gunn Enli (PhD) is professor in political communication, currently serving as the Vice-Dean of studies and education at the Faculty of Humanities. 

Enli has contributed substantially to etablishing the research field Political Election Campaigns and Social Media with key works such as Routledge Companion to Social Media and Politics and Twitter as Arena for The Authentic Outsider, which is among the most read & cited-articles in European Journal of Communication.

Professor Enli's favourite academic concept is authenticity, and she has published her first international monograph on the topic, with the title Mediated Authenticity: How the Media Constructs Reality

Another key topic in Enli's work is media regulation og policy, such as comparative analysis of media systems: The Media Welfare State: Nordic media in the Digital Age. 

Her current work is researching authenticity in the context of politics and performance, disconnection and wellbeing, and regulation of Big Tech and A.I.     

She has been a visiting professor at London School of Economics (LSE), and at New York University (NYU), and has been presenting her work around the world. 

Enli is on the editorial board of three international peer-reviewed journals, and serves in national committees for media regulators and several boards for higher education in the Nordic region.
