Research Projects -
The Vésztő-Mágor Conservation and Exhibition Program - Co-Principle Investigator

This project focuses on the conservation and redevelopment of the Vésztő-Mágor archaeological site near Vésztő, Hungary. This multinational effort is working to stabilise, preserve, and rejuvenate the exhibition of an unparalleled, in-situ archaeological trench that was excavated into the largest settlement mound (i.e., tell) on the Great Hungarian Plain. The site features Neolithic, Copper Age, and Bronze Age habitations and is not only a window into thousands of years of human history but also a vital cultural and economic asset for the surrounding region.
