The CPS Book Club invites philosophers of science to share the behind-the-scenes of their book-writing journeys. In a field dominated by articles, we'll delve into the unique experience of crafting book-length research and discuss the challenges and decision-making involved in this process. Each session will be held in a hybrid format, followed by an informal gathering at Eckers.

In this meeting, we will host Hilary Gaskin (Cambridge University Press). Gry Oftedal will interview her about her experience as a publisher, who commissions in a range of genres, including monographs, histories, textbooks, editions, Cambridge Elements, and biographies, and across the whole subject area of philosophy including logic, ethics, history of philosophy, metaphysics, epistemology, political philosophy, and other areas.
