The common heritage of humanity and cosmopolitan preservationist duties

Some cultural, natural and intellectual assets matter for us all in ways that gives rise to cosmopolitan preservationist duties—duties to preserve them, regardless of where they or we are located. Here I elucidate those duties by reference to the notion of common heritage of humanity. I defend that as a moral doctrine that rests upon, and unites in a novel way, three separate moral principles. Together those help us identify special reasons to preserve the common heritage of humanity and which assets to protect under this label.
