Research interests
I am a sociolinguist who works on multilingualism. I am interested in how people communicate and how they describe and interpret their own communicative practices and repertoires. I have experience with ethnographic-based, collaborative, language documentation, multimodal and classroom-based research. I am particularly interested in citizen (socio)linguistics and outreach projects, in which I have over 10 years’ expertise
Experience
I have conducted research internationally in Norway, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Senegal and Ireland. I have teaching experience in sociolinguistics and methods and have taught internationally at BA, MA and doctoral levels. Most recently, I have been a supervisor for MA students at the University of Oslo. Previously, I held posts as Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Galway, Postdoctoral Research Fellow at University of Oslo and as Visiting Lecturer at Leeds Trinity University (among others).
