Research

My PhD research project investigates linguistic landscapes and linguistic hierarchies within the Viking Diaspora on the British Archipelago during the Middle Ages. The goal for the project is to map the different linguistic landscapes and to account for linguistic hierarchies within the landscapes by analysing the epigraphic material on the Isles.

My MA thesis investigated the development in the use of bind-runes in Norway during the the Middle Ages.
