Do you want to attend a conference, visit an archive, conduct fieldwork, etc. in connection with your Master's thesis?
Academic funds can be awarded to Master's students for the completion of their thesis, which includes excursions, seminars, conference participation, and support for fieldwork, provided that the objective of the trip is relevant to the Master's thesis.
Master's students at ILN can apply to the research committee for up to 10,000 NOK in support. The application must include:
- a description of the event
- a justification for why the event is relevant to the completion of the Master's thesis
- a budget with expected expenses
- a brief approval from the supervisor (e.g. in an email)
Guidelines for awarding travel support:

The trip should not impede the student from completing their thesis on time.

Expenses for transportation, accommodation, and entry fees/charges for conferences and similar events can be covered.

Expenses for meals are not covered.

Students can only receive support once during their studies.

The trip must take place during the application year.

Only active students on ILN's Master's programmes can apply.

The trip cannot have been completed at the time of application.
