Together we read theoretical and literary texts. In the seminars, the group's members, including the PhD candidates, regularly present their ongoing research and publications related to the concept of resistance.
2022
October 18-19. the research group organized an open two-day seminar at the Norwegian university center in Paris (Le Centre Universitaire de Norvège à Paris – CUNP), entitled «Resistance and Democracy». Keynote speakers were David Rodowick (Chicago) on «Hannah Arendt's Enactments of Freedom», Lia Kurts-Wüste (Bordeaux) on «Poetry and resistance today» and Arild Utaker (Bergen) on «What Resistance? - On the difference between Roland Barthes and Michel Foucault».
We also had an excursion to the Paris Resistance Museum (La Musée de la Libération de Paris). Within the framework of «Forms of Resistance", several outward-facing activities are planned. High on the agenda are open seminars and guest lectures with international lecturers. In collaboration with the National Library, we plan to organize workshops in archival studies, as well as a conference including an exhibition where resistance in many forms is illuminated and exposed.
2023
In August 2023 we had a whole-day seminar at Lysebu Hotel, focusing on a new project outline within the frame of UiO:Democracy. Invited speakers were Majken Jul Sørensen (Østfold University College / Karlstad University) and Iver B. Neuman (Fridtjof Nansen Institute). Iver later joined the research group.
2024
In September 2024 we organized a whole-day seminar at The National Library, with presentations of the group members’ contribution to a planned anthology. There were also three invited «guests», that is, external contributors to the book: Lars Holm Hansen (editor), Runar Hodne (director, Oslo Nye Teater) and Erland Kiøsterud (author).

2025
We plan another seminar at the university center in Paris in September 2025. To this seminar we will invite several French and International scholars. We will have final discussions on our anthology project. Among several activities, we will practice the situationist’s derive (drift) as a form of resistance to the everyday urban conformism in the heart of Paris.
