Welcome to the Faculty of Humanities' PhD Week! The academic program includes the compulsory introductory courses in theories of knowledge and research ethics, and various advanced courses in theories of knowledge, research ethics, and methods. There are also workshops and courses in researcher skills and social events.
Registration
The program is designed for early-career scholars at HF. Many courses and events are relevant for PhD candidates and Postdocs from other institutions, and all courses and activities are open to everyone, but HF's candidates are given priority.
Please do not register for more activities than you have time to prepare for. We expect you to attend, if you have registered. Should you have to withdraw, let the course administrator know at the earliest possible occasion. The PhD Week is organized every semester to ensure that you have several opportunities to participate and enable you to spread out your course work throughout your project period.
Registration opens on Monday 6th October, links to registration forms are published on the individual course pages. Last day for registration is 14th November.
Programme
Tentative titles for all courses is listed below. Links to courses will be published when the course websites are ready.
All courses and events take place in Sophus Bugges hus.
Most of the courses are 1 or 2 ECTS credit courses in order for you to make the combination that you prefer. Credits are not given for writer's hours and only for a few of the skills- and tools oriented courses/workshops.
There will be lunch every day from 12-13. We will also invite you to a social event. A registration form will be distributed closer to the PhD week.
If you have questions about a particular course, please e-mail the contact person(s) indicated in the course description.
