Academic interests

  • Archaeochemistry
  • Environmental geochemistry
  • Human-environment interaction
  • Isotope geochemistry
  • Organic biomarkers

I am a doctoral research fellow in paleoenvironmental biomarkers under the supervision of Dr. David Keith Wright at the University of Oslo. I am interested in the reconstruction of pre-historic human land use, settlements, and fire occurrences. I currently investigate the early hominin occupation and associated landscape changes in Tajikistan, Central Asia using organic biomarkers and stable isotopes.

Background

  • 2022 - Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oslo.
  • 2016 - 2021: Bachelors and Masters degree (BS-MS dual degree) major in Chemistry with a minor in Earth Sciences from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali, India, with the dissertation " Response of natural and anthropogenic impacts on aquatic systems: A case study from Garur Lake, Central Himalayas ."
