Background
I am the principal researcher for the project Race, Kinship, and Diplomacy: The Transnational Politics of Adoption and Family in Scandinavia (RKD). The project explores how transnational adoption shaped, and was shaped by, Scandinavian diplomacy, foreign policy, and human rights discourse from 1960 to 2000. This is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship funded by the EU’s “Horizon Europe” program affiliated with IAHK at the University of Oslo (UiO).
I hold a PhD in Transnational and Comparative European History from the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence (2024). My doctoral thesis offered a comparative historical study of transnational adoption in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
