Academic interests
My research examines the global commodification of Indigenous People's traditional knowledge (TK) and cultural expressions (TCE), with particular emphasis on communities in Sub-Saharan Africa. With a background in law, I employ a legal-historical methodology to analyse how cultural heritage, human rights, and international intellectual property laws intersect and sometimes conflict.
Background
I have an interdisciplinary academic background, with a Master's degree in International Law from Åbo Akademi University in Finland and a Bachelor's degree in Media Culture and Photojournalism from Novia University of Applied Sciences. In addition to my academic work, I bring a decade of professional experience in political communication in Finland.
