Academic interests

I am a PhD student at the Department of Archaeology, Conservation and History (IAKH), where I am part of the ERC-funded project Before Copyright (BE4COPY), which investigates the history of printing privileges in early modern Europe. Within this project, my research focuses on the integrated and evolving relationship between the exclusive right to print and scientific knowledge. I am particularly interested in marine cartography in Enlightenment France. My research is supervised by the BE4COPY research group leader, Marius Buning.

Background

I have a BA in Psychology and two Master’s degrees, one in Philosophy (specializing in the phenomenology of language) and one in Information and Documentation Sciences (specializing in scholarly publishing and digital publishing, thesis available here: http://barthes.enssib.fr/travaux/Fraslin-Ed-critique-ekdosis-master.pdf).

Before starting my doctorate, I worked in various sectors of the book industry, including the Presses universitaires de Grenoble, the library of the Paul Valéry University Montpellier 3, and as an editor of the Revue Alarmer, a digital journal of the Institut français de géopolitique (IFG) focusing on issues related to racism and anti-Semitism.
