Trial lectures for the position of Associate Professor in History of Art and Visual Studies - Medieval Art and Visual Culture

Five candidates will give trial lectures for the position of Associate Professor in History of Art and Visual Studies (Medieval Art and Visual Culture).

For the trial lectures, the candidates were given the following task:

Imagine you are giving a lecture (45 minutes) that is part of an introductory course in the fields theory, methods, and historiography for second-year students in the BA program in Art History and Visual Studies (website in Norwegian only). 

The topic of the lecture is:

"Lessons for the broader field of art history and visual studies from new approaches to medieval art and visual culture"

Candidates are free to choose whether they want to hold the lecture in English or a Scandinavian language.
