The event, organized by Dr. Tom Cubbin on 28 November, celebrates the 90th anniversary of its host institution, Stenebyskolan, a school founded to provide training for young artisans and thereby develop craft as a cultural and economic force in the Dalsland region, halfway between Gothenburg and Oslo.
Campus Steneby is now part of HDK-Valand, the University of Gothenburg's Academy of Art and Design, and the symposium asks how today’s practices can enable us to renew the school's original mission of fostering resilient communities and sustainable ways of life.
