Submission Guidelines
Focus on the ARA program: The purpose of the blog is to provide a platform for ARA program students to share their experiences learning the Arabic language and culture. Your writing should reflect this focus.
Write from personal experience: Share your own experiences, thoughts, and reflections in your writing. This will help readers to connect with your story and gain a better understanding of your perspective.
Be respectful: Respect the diversity of opinions and experiences within the ARA program and the broader community. Use language that is inclusive and sensitive to the perspectives of others.
Language: The submission should be written in Arabic, Norwegian or English, depending on the type of submission.
A comprehensive structure: Like with essays, it is useful to plan your blog post and ensure it has a clear introduction, key point(s) and a conclusion.
Short and sweet: Our recommended word count is 600-800 words; people prefer to read content they can digest in a few minutes. Remember the word count is higher for articles and reflections.
Be creative: Use your writing to showcase your creativity and express your unique voice. Consider using multimedia such as images or videos to enhance your storytelling. Please note that you can use photos in your blog post if you think this would support your story.
Have fun: Remember that writing for the blog is an opportunity to share your experiences and perspectives with others. Enjoy the process and have fun with your writing!
