Examples of matters dealt with by the board:

  • Annual plan and budget
  • Overarching plans, principles and priorities for the business, embodied in long-term plans, such as a strategic plan and professional priorities.
  • Appointments
  • Approval of the accounts and annual report is one of the board's instruments for monitoring the business.

The internal organization in departments, subject groups, etc. is also dealt with by the board, within the framework set by the faculty board.

Election to the board

The academic and administrative employees elect their representatives with deputy representatives for a period of 3 years, the students for 1 year and fixed-term employees for 1 year. Re-election may take place. A representative or deputy representative resigns if the relevant person's connection to the land unit ceases. In that case, supplementary elections can be held.
