Council for Old Norse philology in Norway

The Council for Old Norse philology in Norway is a collaborative body for researchers and institutions within the higher education sector in Norway that are concerned with teaching and research in Old Norse philology.

The council was established in 2002, and counts all major Norwegian universities as its members. The statues of the council is to ensure that the university and university college educate graduates with the necessary expertise in Norse philology, prepare learning material for Norse philology, and to ensure recruitment for research and collaborate on collaborate on postgraduate education and research training.
