Manage the RITMO motion capture lab
Before coming to RITMO in January 2019 I worked as a Gait Lab Engineer at Children's Hospital Colorado, USA. My role was to support clinical visits by utilizing motion capture technology to collect and process kinematic, kinetic, and electromyographic data. I would also perform laboratory maintenance activities, calibration and validation testing, and write custom computer code. Additionally I would collaborate with study design, run data collection, processing and analysis as well as preparation of scientific manuscripts and conference presentations for research projects involving movement analysis. Finally, I ran investigations into the accuracy, precision, and useability of novel wearable sensors for movement analysis specifically in sports medicine.
Previous to working with Motion Capture I was a Research and Development Engineer doing new product development of medical devices. This entailed such activities as drafting and releasing design specifications, test methods, protocols, technical reports, and other such documentation as well as prototyping, test fixture design, process development troubleshooting, and coordinating testing for major design process milestones. I have multiple patents and FDA released medical devices to my name.
I have a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and a thesis based Masters in Bioengineering.
