– Describe the most important aspects of your job today?

– I work to influence how a large company works with sustainability. In practice, that means turning complex science, market insights, and internal knowledge into something people across the organisation — from service technicians to leadership, and everyone in between — can understand, see as relevant to their roles, and act on.

– What do you like best about your job?

– Working with passionate, talented people from across disciplines and backgrounds, all dedicated to solving a major real-world problem: the global waste crisis.

– How is the education from The Faculty of Humanities relevant in this job?

– Thinking like a social scientist is a superpower. When new solutions fail, policies stall, or desired change doesn’t happen, the explanation is often hidden in the human layer. As people trained to notice meaning, perception, and behaviour — not just logic — we’re well placed to find, fix, or avoid those kinds of problems altogether.

– What’s your best tip for new students who are concerned about their job opportunities after graduation?

– Build your network. Be curious. Be nice. Even the best ideas fail when people aren’t on side, the same can be true for a career.
