Academic interests
The Frankish world in the Early Middle Ages, especially the Eastern Frankish Kingdom.
In research, my primary interest is in documentary culture, and the economic, intellectual and social life of ecclesiastical communities. It is especially monastic societies in the upper Rhine valley and the Lake Constance region, which is my area of interest.
Background
I'm an early medievalist working on early medieval lists! As a part of the MiNITEXTs project I'm currently writing my Phd-dissertation on the organization of early medieval libraries, the ownership of books and the functions of booklists in manuscripts contexts. My background is from the University of Oslo. In 2022 I delivered my MA, titled: The Einsiedeln Manuscript: A Historical Study of a Ninth-Century Carolingian Manuscript and East Frankish Scribal Culture.
In 2019 I delievered my BA, titled: Royal Carolingian Burials: The Power of Location.
