Academic interests

I'm very interested in classical reception and the cultural history of the Latin language, in particular how Latin and the classical heritage has been used and abused throughout history.

My PhD project will treat the history of Norwegian classical philology in the 19th century. More specifically, I intend to research the development of classical philology in Norway during this century and its interaction with contemporary cultural, political, and academic currents, both nationally and internationally.

My MA thesis examined the reception of ancient mythology and literature, primarily Ovid's Metamorphoses, in the opera Semele (1744) by G.F. Handel.

BA (2018) and MA (2020) in Classical languages from UiO.

Research assistent for Prof. Han Lamers 2018-2020, in connection with the project Anchoring the Fascist Revolution.
