Academic interests
I specialise in Early-Modern Italian literature and have a secondary interest in contemporary Italian novels. I have published on Early-Modern Italian theatre, love correspondence, and short prose narration. I am exploring the intersections between literary studies and the history of emotions, focussing on how Early-Modern Italian women conceived and experienced romantic love, from a theoretical and literary point of view, as well as in their daily interactions (witnessed by their private writings).
