Research
My research focuses on experimental pragmatics and semantics. Using a variety of methodologies, including eye-tracking, behavioral tasks, and questionnaires, I investigate how children and adults process aspects of language such as figurative speech, pronouns, and speech reports.
I am currently the principal investigator of the project "Better attention, better communication? How ADHD and multilingualism influence children’s pragmatic development", funded by The Research Council of Norway (2021-2025). The goal of the project is to investigate the role of attention abilities in the pragmatic development of monolingual and multilingual children with and without Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Lab and EyeHub
I am the manager of the Socio-Cognitive Laboratory at ILN, a laboratory to study the processing and production of languages across the lifespan. From 2022-2024, I was the director of EyeHub, an interdisciplinary network for eye-tracking and pupillometry research at UiO.
