This course is a part of HF's PhD week.
Course description
While current PhD regulations provide specification on article-based dissertations, the same is not the case for the PhD in monograph form. A main reason is that PhD monographs at the Faculty of Humanities can be written in widely different ways; there is no one way to describe this genre and its requirements. This course instead focuses on the writing process, with a starting point in the academic book-length monograph. Such an advanced and extended process involves certain stages and techniques of writing, structuring and revising that are common to most writers of PhD and academic book monographs. The course thus offers conceptual and practical perspectives on writing the PhD monograph.
This course does not offer credits.
