Student associations can apply for support from IMK
Criteria for ese of academic-social funds:
- Academic-social funds should be used for academic-social activities for students in the programs at IMK
- Events that are open to all students in a program, or all programs, will be prioritized over events that only pertain to a single course or a single cohort
- Academic-social funds cannot be used for the purchase of alcoholic beverages
- For events held in IMK's premises that require coffee service, we encourage students to utilize the coffee maker on the 2nd floor
Extraordinary costs for the Master's thesis
Master's students at IMK can apply for support for extraordinary costs related to their master's thesis. Applications should be sent to studieinfo@media.uio.no.
Remember to attach confirmation from your supervisor.
Rules for granting funds for the Master's thesis:
- You must submit the application in advance
- Master's students can apply for up to NOK 1500 to cover extraordinary costs related to their master's thesis
- The costs MUST be related to the work on the master's thesis
- You can receive support only once during your studies
- The supervisor must support the application
What are extraordinary costs for the Master's thesis?
- Participation in conferences to present your thesis or gather data
- Fieldwork
- Purchasing data/licenses/newspapers/materials you need for the thesis
- Other materials directly related to the master's thesis
This is not considered extraordinary costs for the master's thesis:
- Literature
- Technical equipment such as a PC or similar
