Bakgrunn

Etter å ha fullført sine doktorgradsstudier, var Toufoul fellow i 2010-2011 ved forskningsprogrammet "Europe in the Middle East - the Middle East in Europe," Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin. I 2011-2012 var hun medlem av St Antony's College og foreleser ved Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Oxford.
