I am a researcher at the University of Oslo.
My research examines methods for making sound decisions based on accurate predictions and well-founded evaluations of outcomes. This involves research on the measurement of social welfare, and evaluation of predictive accuracy, as well as experimental research into the main causal drivers of these outcomes.
My PhD (2023-2026) is part of the interdisciplinary Modeling Human Happiness project, which aims to develop models of well-being for appraising policy and measuring social progress.
In my PhD project, I explore the role of well-being for policy evaluation in a national political context. Specifically, I worked with social science researchers to develop public models of well-being that make fine distinctions between causes, constituents and correlates of well-being in a way that is informed by the values of citizens.
In 2025-2026 I am the PI of UiO Political Forecasting Tournament, which is a project under the Science and Democracy Research Group at the University of Oslo.
