From Oslo Airport Gardermoen

The easiest way to get to the University Campus from the airport is to take the Airport Express train to Nationaltheatret station, then the westbound subway (T-bane) to Forskningsparken station. The travel time from Oslo Airport Gardermoen to Nationaltheateret station is approximately 25 minutes.

From downtown Oslo/Nationaltheatret to Forskningsparken with the subway

From Nationaltheatret station, take westbound subway lines 4 (Vestli), 5 (Ringen via Storo), or 5 (Sognsvann) to Forskningsparken station. The travel time is approximately 10 minutes. If you are travelling from Jernbanetorget/Oslo Central Station, you may take the same subway lines as from Nationaltheatret.

Please note that tickets cannot be purchased onboard the subway, only at the station or in kiosks (Narvesen, 7-Eleven, Deli de Luca).

When you arrive at Forskningsparken, exit the platform and walk straight ahead for approximately 100 meters, then across the road. You will see a six-story red brick building on your right hand side. This is Henrik Wergelands hus (Henrik Wergeland’s building) where the Department of Linguistics and Scandinavian Studies and MultiLing is located. Follow the building along the parking lot, then turn left to find the entrance. MultiLing is on the 4th floor (UK 3rd floor).

From downtown Oslo with the tram

Take either the number 17 or 18 tram towards Rikshospitalet. Get off at Universitetet Blindern. Cross the tracks and to your right you will see the Humanities complex of buildings. Henrik Wergelands hus (Henrik Wergeland’s building) where the Department of Linguistics and Scandinavian Studies and MultiLing is located is behind and parallel to the high-rise building to your right. The Center is on the 4th floor (UK 3rd floor).

You are advised to purchase your ticket in advance - either a single journey ticket or a 7-day ticket, which allows unlimited transportation. You can read more about the options on the Ruter# website.

By taxi

If you prefer to go by taxi, the fare from the airport is about NOK 700-900 depending on the time of day. Ask for a fixed price when starting the trip. However, we strongly recommend that you take the Airport Express train to Oslo as it is both cheaper and faster.
