AttCom Kick-Off Workshop: Attending to (in)attention in communication

How does ADHD affect the learning of multiple languages? Do people with and without ADHD process figurative language differently? These are just some of the questions that will be discussed at AttCom's Kick-Off Workshop.

The multilingual mind: Multiple flags pinned in a model of human brain

The AttCom project investigates how attention (visual attention, executive attention, behavioral (in)attention symptoms) affects communicative processes across different languages. The interdisciplinary team uses a variety of methods such as eye-tracking, cognitive and linguistic tests, questionnaires, and interviews to assess children and adults with and without Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). In this full-day workshop, project members from the fields of linguistics, philosophy, and psychology will present their findings and contributions to the field.

The workshop is open to all. No registration needed.
