  • Linguistic anthropology and sociolinguistics

  • Masters in Cross-Cultural studies (2017) at the University of Copenhagen
    • Internship at the International Work Group for indigenous Affairs (IWGIA)  
    • Affiliate Scholar position at the East West Center in Hawai’i
    • Academic interests: language revitalization, translanguaging, and identities in literature and (spoken word) poetry
  • Bachelors in Comparative Literature (2014), with additional major in Hindi
    • Erasmus exchange to Humboldt University in Berlin (2011) and later to Varanasi in North India (2013)
    • Academic interests: language politics, minoritized languages, and gender in Indian literature
  • Philosophy at the University of Oslo (2009-2010).

Work experience

  • I have worked and volunteered for several non-profit organizations, most recently as an instructor for the course series “helse på norsk” (health in Norwegian) at Red Cross’ Stella kvinnesenter (2020-21).
  • I have worked as a research assistant for South Asian Studies at UiO (2018), as a language teacher in several pedagogical and cultural settings, and have years of experience with copywriting and editing.
  • My longtime interest in health communication and rights was sparked in 2010-11, when I worked in the administration of the health clinic Sex og samfunn and served as a member in their youth board.
