Nicolas joins us from the Aix-Marseille University in Marseille (France). He is working on a research project entitled “Altered trajectories: socio-economic impacts and landscape transformations due to extreme climate events in historical times, the case of the Great European Frost of 1709”.
The researcher from the European University Institute in Florence is working on his PhD thesis Charting Imperial Climates: Paper-borne Knowledge of Weather and Climate Across the Danish Empire.
The KLIMER research group will showcase their work at two conferences in August 2025: the 13th ESEH Conference in Uppsala, Sweden, and the 31st Congress of Nordic Historians in Reykjavík, Iceland.
