Henrik Ibsen spent long periods of his life in Rome and wrote several important works when living in the city, as Brand (1866), Peer Gynt (1867), A Doll’s House (1879) and Ghosts (1881).

On 27 February, Giuliano D’Amico of the Centre for Ibsen Studies held a teach out at the Royal Anthropological Institute in London. On this occasion, he had a chance to meet the students of Nordic studies at the University College London and hold an Ibsen lecture aimed at the general public.
