Viktige saker for meg:
I have been a permanent academic employee at ILN since 2013, and from 2017 to 2020, I served as the department’s deputy head and head of studies. Consequently, I have insight into how the department is organized and managed, as well as experience with the board’s work. Additionally, I have in-depth knowledge of ILN’s course portfolio and understand the importance of the disciplines the department is offering.
Key priorities for me:
Through well-considered, long-term financial planning, we can create stability, provide predictability for employees, and foster academic development, particularly in economically challenging times. Good financial management is not just about numbers but about the strategic allocation of resources to strengthen academic communities and achieve the department’s goals.
Increased student recruitment is also crucial for strengthening ILN, both academically and financially. This requires clear profiling and collaboration between academic communities to attract more students and strengthen the department’s position in the competition for students.
A review of the administrative tasks we perform is needed to identify which of these can be delegated to the department’s administrative staff. This will free up more time for teaching and research, while ensuring that administrative tasks are handled professionally.
If elected, I will be a board member who actively contributes to sharing information about board matters so that the department’s academic staff are involved in the board’s decisions. Transparent and effective collaboration between leadership, the board, and ILN’s academic staff is key to fostering a dynamic, cohesive, and forward-looking department.
I am running as a candidate for the department board because I want to contribute to a department characterized by stability, collaboration, and development—for the benefit of both employees and students. Ensuring that academic staff have sufficient time and resources to focus on their core tasks is essential for maintaining high quality in research, teaching, and dissemination.
