I am Associate Professor of Nordic literature and have been part of the permanent academic staff at ILN since February 2023. I have previous work experience from OsloMet and ILOS here at UiO, where I was a representative of the temporary academic employees. I also have board experience from outside of the university sector.
As a representative of ILN’s permanent academic staff, I will work to ensure that processes and decisions at the department level are professionally grounded within the organization. I am particularly concerned with providing as much predictability as possible for the academic fields represented at ILN as well as for individual employees regarding research, teaching, dissemination, and administration. Like other higher education institutions, ILN is facing several challenges in the coming years. It is important that we address these challenges in ways that maintain the diversity and expertise within our institute, and that the work of the department board is democratic, transparent, and well-founded in ILN’s academic disciplines.
