Academic interests

Works at the intersection of new media technologies and social psychology, with research related to use and motivations for participation in social media, as well as the social impact of such use. Currently working on how people, and in particular young people, perceive and use chatbots. I am a project manager of the research project SOCIAL HEALTH BOTS (2017-2020) funded by the Norwegian Research Council.

Worked on various projects (e.g. CITIZEN MEDIA, REVEALCitiSenseEuKidsOnline, i2i) and for a range of companies, including several international collaborations.

Visiting scholar:  New York University in 2010.

Education: Ph.D. in Media and Communication Studies, University of Oslo (2012) and M.Sc. in Psychology at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (2000). Master of management program in Innovation Management in a Global Business Perspective, Norwegian Business School (2014).
