Professor Stephan Guth has compiled, edited and commented this recently published anthology of canonical masterpieces of Arabic, Persian, Turkish and Hebrew fiction (mid-19th to early 21st centuries). Published by Harrassowitz Publishers.

Associate Professor Einar Wigen has published a new book on University of Michigan Press which is based on Wigen's doctoral dissertation on the role of concept translation in the transformation of the Ottoman Empire into the Republic of Turkey, as well as in the international relations of these states.

Tradisjonelt har Midtøsten vært preget av religiøs og etnisk pluralisme. Men krig, konflikt og fremmarsjen til militante islamister har ført til at svært mange kristne har forlatt regionen. Ja, mange frykter at Midtøstens kristne er i ferd med å forsvinne for godt.
